I never lack for inspiration! If you had a view like this every morning, you wouldn't either: blue sky, white sand, soft waves, and a gentle breeze. That's all I need. Since I was six years old, I've been drawn to the ocean; I believe I must be half mermaid. My parents could never get me to go home after a day at the beach and I'm still that way. So, we decided to retire by a stretch of beach called Anna Maria Island. It's the best decision we ever made. I want to grow old by the sea.
Of course, it's not always quiet along our waters. We have to share our beach with tourists, vacationers, and spring breakers. It's hectic for a while and then it goes back to peaceful by the sea. After spending ten years on Ecuador's coast and vacationing in the Galapagos Islands, I got a tad bit spoiled with beaches. This is about as close as we can get to that type of sand and water that we found in the Galapagos: emerald green water and white sand. I'm set.
My writing is done by the pool in a journal, but my inspiration begins at the beach as I'm picking up shells and watching the birds swooping down to catch a fish. I've learned the hard way to keep my cell phone on the "notes" section so I can scribble something down to jog my memory.
I'm glad you've decided to join me on my journey today because this view will be my current situation for a long time to come!
Passionately yours,
